Newly ranked #3 in the global abundance rankings. Indian tycoon Gautam Adani jumped from luxury investor Bernard Arnault on Tuesday.
With a net worth of $137 billion, Adani is the first Asian to enter the top three according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. He trails Amazon organizer Jeff Bezos (worth $153 billion) and his CEO at Tesla Elon Musk (worth $251 billion).
This success comes just six months after he was named Asia's Most Extravagant. Adani has added $60.9 billion to his net worth so far this year, making him the most important person in the top 10 and becoming a gem picker with total worth not dropping in 2022. He is the organizer of the Adani Group, which has a huge number of organizations in various industries such as ports, coal and energy.
Adani became a big shot in 2008, 20 years after he started his mail-order company. The 60-year-old overtook Bill Gates in July after Gates said he would donate $20 billion to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
It's not yet clear whether this mogul will take third place. Investigator expressed concern about how much commitment his organization made during development.
