Sylvester Stallone said he was separating "amicably and confidentially" from partner Jennifer Flavin.
Flavin documented her plea "for the dissolution of marriage and other assistance" on Friday in Palm Beach County, Florida. married in 1997.
"We will not be tied down from now on, but will always love the 30+ year relationship we shared. I ask for the safety of my family as we move forward in peace."
The two recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They have her three girls Scarlett, 20, Sistina, 24, and Sophia, 25.
