COLOMBO: Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has agreed to terminate his contract with immediate effect on Tuesday along with former Australian all-rounder Tom Surley, who was working as cricket chief.

The SLC Leader Board of Trustees responded directly to the by then defunct Specialized Warning Advisory Group and felt that Moody's management was generally unnecessary.

“Moody's agreement as Warden of Cricket for Viable Walk 1 in 2021 was made in the light of suggestions made by the SLC's Specialized Warning Board. We thank him for what he has done for us and wish him well in his future endeavors," SLC said in a statement.

"Again he is honored to support the SLC. Happy with what he discovered during his tenure leading the Specialized Warning Panel," said sullenly. Prior to, there were rumors that SLC were going in a different direction than Cranky and were looking to sign a three-year contract after just a year and a half.

SLC has opted to terminate the deal with Moody's early, but experienced leader Mahera Jayawardena maintains it, albeit tolerating broader engagement with Indians in Mumbai.

The explanation for the SLC election is that Jayawardena should be given a bigger job. Reportedly recruited last spring by the Specialized Warning Board of Trustees, led by Aravinda de Silva, for a three-year term, Cranky has been appointed to the women's and men's games, national and global.

Cranky was Sri Lanka's mentor from 2005 to 2007, the year Sri Lanka made great progress in test design and became another World Cup participant. did.

Nevertheless, his recent stint at SLC has drawn more cudgel than credit. Many say the Australian needs to be hired to help rebuild the country's domestic cricket. I questioned it.
